Safety, Reimagined
In 1 day, what could our Duty of Care offering (traveler safety) evolve into? At the time of this exploration, the DoC had redundant information across different pages and the jobs to be done required navigating through 4 tabs to get context. The aim for this Hackathon project (2020) was to provide an easier at-a-glance view of what the Admin should prioritize, with ways to progressively dive deeper – and eventually connect to travelers.
The before
In 2019, the Admin experience had a minimal Duty of Care (traveler safety) offering: it included the LiveMap and the Traveler Report. LiveMap was a visual experience to show Admins where their travelers were – the presentation and expectation being a real-time representation of their employees on trips. The Traveler Report was a duplicate section of Booking Reports, but prefiltered to active travelers. During 2020, two new pages were developed: COVID-19, Travel Impact Dashboard. These were reactive features to a chaotic time.
